Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy outlines how Dentaclarity ("we", "our", or "us") handles data when you visit our independent dental price index at dentaclarity.com. We are committed to a "Privacy by Design" architecture that fully complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Zero-Cookie Analytics
Unlike the vast majority of websites, Dentaclarity does not use Google Analytics or any other tracking software that places persistent cookies on your device to follow you across the internet.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures website performance and basic usage metrics (such as page views and referrers) without tracking individual visitors. It does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics.
2. No Collection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Because we use a cookieless analytics solution, we do not collect, process, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) regarding your browsing behaviour. We do not know your IP address, your location beyond country-level routing, or your identity. Your visit to the Dentaclarity index is entirely anonymous.
3. Data Submitted via the Contact Form
If you choose to use our Contact Form to submit a data correction or inquiry, you will be asked to provide your Name and Email Address. This data is handled under the following strict parameters:
- Purpose: The data is used exclusively to respond to your specific inquiry or verify the data correction submitted.
- Retention: Contact form submissions are retained only for as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry, and never longer than 12 months.
- Third Parties: We never sell, rent, or share your contact information with third parties, dental clinics, or marketing agencies.
- Security: Form submissions are processed securely via Netlify Forms and protected by triple-layer spam prevention mechanisms.
4. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Because we do not collect PII during standard browsing, there is no personal browsing data for us to provide, rectify, or erase. However, if you have submitted personal data via our Contact Form, you have the right under the UK GDPR to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of any inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your data ("the right to be forgotten").
To exercise any of these rights regarding contact form submissions, please use our Contact page.
5. External Links
Our website contains links to external regulatory bodies (such as the GDC, CQC, HIS, HIW, and RQIA). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of any external website you visit.
